H'lo, I'm Zo Reo, a digital artist who's style is a mixture of semi-anime/realism. I'm a mixed medium sort of person, who does preliminary sketches on paper but the finished product is usually done with (mostly) Corel Painter X and perhaps a few touchups with Paint Shop Pro 8.
I've only recently converted to Painter, and I hope I get better at it, it's a nifty, seamless program (especially with use of my tablet *hugs*), and I don't understand why I hear about so many people hating it :-/. I'm hoping to morph into a digital watercolour style, which I find to be the most lurvely form of digital art. :3 It's so smooth, but yet it's not quite flawless.
Besides sketching and digital painting, I also enjoy writing stories, particularly fantasy/action-adventure/ sort of tales. I'm not too keen on the elves and fairies sort of fantasy, I prefer fantasy that's a bit more . . . well, real with a few magical twists thrown in (I believe it's called "sword and sorcery" fiction ). If I'm not writing fantasy, I'm writing a futuristic sci-fi novel . I hate writing short stories; I don't feel fulfilled unless my writing project is at least a novelette. *nod nod*

It's the Red X frenzy today, I tell you. What is up with these empty boxes? I have thirty-one messages that I'm going to have to get to later because I can't even SEE them.
Update: Drawing, Painting and that sort of thing . . .
Practice makes perfect . . . and discouragement. In truth, I've half-painted a couple pictures and just given up on them because I didn't like them enough, or there was this thing that didn't look right, or that thing that didn't look right.
But, things get worse before they get better, right?
Right. --;
ANYWAY, the next original thing I upload could take a nice, long time. Or it could be next week. Pfft. And, chances are, I won't like it after two days, that is, if I like it at all to begin with.

Eh.
Yes, I'm stagnating on just about everything lately. I was this close *holds finger two centimeters apart* to finishing the first draft, when I realized that the climax made my face do this-- .
SO, due to the deep-rooted stuff that makes the climax as as it is, I've come to a grinding halt as I keep diddling down notes to just make everything a little better. I think for the most part, it had a lot to do with the fact the good guys are all strong characters. When I write the good guys, I know exactly how I want to write them. When I got to the bad guys I fumbled around and didn't know what I was doing. So, I'm improving storyline, and really, reaaally trying to make those bad peoples out to what they should be. And I know that should be dismissed when it comes to first draft, but that it was such a dramatic ANTI climax that it just made me sick. It ruins the whole story. Something essential in the nemesis department went real sour, real quick.
And that's all there is to that.
But I'm still heartily looking forward to a rewrite once I get things sorted out, because I them good guys. And hopefully, I'll (?) the bad guys too.

But I gotta tell you, you need to update your tags for your pics. Searching 'Totally Spies' or even 'Halloween' or 'Vampire' does not bring up your art. Maybe that's why you can't get anyone to see your stuff, eh?
*looks around* *sniffs* Yeh, well, so I don't do much with my art page. . .maybe one day I'll get around to it, polish it up for my whopping two fans.
I say you should really invest in some good, detailed books for face drawing. Something with lots of examples and hands on stuff. Trust meh, it will really help you with your fore-shortening and facial construction. Remembah, you can't draw cartoon-type stuff well, until you now how to draw it normal.
And that's my words of wisdom for the day.

None of my books ever cost over twenty. Don't buy them all at once; research and find a book that deals exactly with your problem areas.
